Our philosophy dictates that every young person deserves and has the right to the opportunity to reach their full potential and receive the best education to carry them through life. We therefore place great emphasis on the provision of Individual Education Programmes to raise achievement for all our young people who have experienced trauma and disruption in their education to date.

Facilities in the school have been upgraded recently to include an IT suite, an increased number of classrooms, a cookery classroom, music room and quiet room.

The current curriculum affords differentiated work according to ability in Maths, English Language, PSHE, IT, Citizenship, Science, Life Science, Geography and R.E, History and Art, D&T and woodwork. Tuition is currently provided in French and Spanish. Music lessons, (guitar, piano, electric guitar , bass and drums) are available weekly via using visiting sessional musicians.

In addition, sporting facilities including badminton, football, cricket, snow boarding, walking and gym, are also instructed in the subject of Sports Related Science. Aromatherapy treatment is available and is administered by a qualified IIHHT Therapist.

Awards in academic subjects may be gained through A.Q.A. Single Unit or Certificate of Achievement Schemes or through G.C.S.E. Examinations. Older students are exposed to prevocational skills, college and career opportunities. Links with colleges are maintained and students are encouraged to attend college courses with support where appropriate.
